Demystifying the Potential for IT Services

ISG-SmartalksThe Indian market for IT and business process management services has grown at a compound annual growth rate of 13 percent over the last five years, reaching $18 billion in 2016. In ISG’s ranking of countries for IT sourcing opportunity, India is the only developing country among the top 10 most promising countries for IT sourcing in the world.

Today, new scope outsourcing transactions make up 85-90 percent of all large transactions in India, with significant potential for first-time sourcing among both public sector and commercial clients across industries. The rapid digitization of business and the growing population of young and highly educated people in India makes it a serious bright spot amid the doom and gloom that industry observers say characterizes the global IT services market today.
