DXC Technology (DXC) teamed up with an automobile manufacturer in Europe and their financing arm to build a digital platform to manage billings and subscriptions. The company’s fleet of new vehicles are linked to this platform, expected to support two million customers by 2023. The platform itself enables new customer experiences, serves as an avenue for aftermarket sales; while it also brings new insights about their customer to the manufacturer.

The Infosys Tennis Platform, developed by Infosys with the French Tennis Federation, the organizer of the French Open at Roland Garros. Made available in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, it transformed the way players and their coaches were able to prepare for their upcoming matches by analyzing their opponents’ strengths and weaknesses and review their own match performances.
|Unified Mobile Platform to integrate all citizen and business services|
The Municipal body with jurisdiction over city services and the upkeep of facilities in the Emirate of Dubai, with over 3.3 million residents, was faced with a mandate to eliminate all paper-based government transactions by 2021.
A key initiative was to develop a unified mobile platform to enable citizens and businesses to transact with their local government. As Mendix had already been chosen as a platform, the solution uses custom APIs and frameworks to overcome any related limitations for highly scalable mobile solution.
|Digital twins create the opportunity for cheaper, predictable and sustainable drilling operations|
Saipem and TCS are creating a “digital fleet” – a 3D replica of Saipem’s offshore drilling rigs that make training cheaper, safer, and more efficient leveraging virtual reality. The replicas also create the foundation for the two to collaborate on predictive maintenance, smart HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), and new technology solutions. A holistic digital twin of the vessels drove operational excellence (12% uplift), low maintenance costs, and a 40% improvement in knowledge retention of rig workers.
|Transformation of Exxaro’s network system, unlocks new potential of Mine operations, improve efficiency, productivity with 30% cost savings|
Tech Mahindra teamed with Exxaro, a coal mining & renewable energy company, to expand their network capabilities which was inhibiting their adoption of Industry 4.0 and IoT solutions for digital transformation. The solution from Tech Mahindra allowed them the bandwidth & coverage to implement new tools for helping automate equipment, manage their fleet, and protect workers. Ultimately, the work expanded the coverage of the network by 30% percent, improved overall utilization and cut costs by the same percentage.
