ISG helps a bank benchmark and understand its security operations’ spend and performance, providing recommendations for improvement.

With both a retail banking section and investment banking operations, this bank is present on five continents. Its retail banking networks serves more than 30 million customers. 
This banking company asked ISG to evaluate the financial performance of its security operations in more than 40 entities.
ISG collected data from everyone on the chief information security officer’s (CISO) team by re-using and adapting existing ISG models and tools.
We mapped the data against ISG security framework and performed the analysis based on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) model.
  • ISG provided high-level recommendations to improve the operational performance of the security operations.
  • After presenting the recommendations, the company asked ISG to continue measuring the improvements for the next 2 years using the year one baseline as a starting point.
